Lake Arrowhead is just 90 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. Construction began on the lake, originally called Little Bear Lake, in the early part of the 20th century. By the 1920’s the first Lake Arrowhead Village was completed with a hotel, shops and restaurants. The original village was demolished in 1979 and replaced by the wonderful lakefront shopping center and resort area you see today.
Recreation in the Lake Arrowhead area includes golf at the Lake Arrowhead Country Club, hiking, fishing, mountain biking and other outdoor activities. Enjoy Ice Skating at the world famous Ice Castle International Training Center. In the winter the closest ski area, Snow Valley, is less than 30 minutes away.
Numerous fine restaurants can be found in the area as well as cozy lodges, hotels and B&B’s for overnight lodging.

In August 2010, the median selling price of home in Arrowhead Woods was $324,000. This represents a flat change from August 2009 and a 5% decrease from July 2010. There were 19 homes sold in August which was 17% less than August 2009 and 27% less than July 2010. There are approximately 457 active listings in Arrowhead Woods and many more in the surrounding Mountain Communities.
