It was my thought to alleviate any problems by going with an outside inspector. In this, I think I made a mistake. There are too many things that the inspector we chose missed and I was not pleased with the overall results. Based on your guidance and other recommendations, I wish I had gone with your inspector. Also, if I were to buy again I would pay the extra to have separate Electrical, Plumbing and fireplace inspections - but, it is all experience and we will know for next time.
