(Big Bear Lake, CA - Keeping refuse from littering the 23-miles of shoreline at Big Bear Lake is a year-long project. But on Saturday, September 25, volunteers will tackle some of the problem areas as part of the 11th Annual Shoreline Cleanup Day.

Shoreline Cleanup Day is part of the 26th Annual California Coastal Cleanup Day sponsored by the California Coastal Commission.
Some 800 locations around the state will benefit from the cleanup efforts by what is described as California's largest volunteer event.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own buckets or reusable bags, gloves and reusable water bottles to help decrease the ecological footprint of the massive cleanup effort.
