| Mozart on the Mountain | June 6, 2010 The Arrowhead Arts Association is proud to sponsor Cal State University San Bernardino's presentation of Mozart's opera "Cosi Fan Tutti." The opera will take place at Rim High's Performing Arts Center on Sunday, June 6th at 2:00 PM. "Cosi" has been modified as if occurring in 1950's San Bernardino and will be sung in English. Admission is free thanks to a generous grant from the Ahmanson Foundation. There will be no ticket sales so please come early.

| Homes Sought for the 36th Annual Home Tour | Planning for the 36th Annual Home Tour is right around the corner! This year the date for the Home Tour is Saturday, September 18th . Friday Night VIP event the night before the Home Tour will occur on Friday, September 17th.
The committee is looking for 4 - 5 fabulous homes that are historic, unique in their own right or that are simply a "show-stopper." If you know of a home that could be used, please contact the Chamber at .
The Home Tour ticket sales are limited to 1500. Tickets will go on sale the beginning of July. This is the primary fundraiser for the Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce.

| Funny Ladies Comedy Jam | The Lake Arrowhead Repertory Theatre Company will present Funny Ladies Comedy Jam at the Lake Gregory Cultural and Performing Arts Center in LakeGregory on Saturday, May 29 at 8:00 PM.
In addition to helping our local theater group, 10% of the proceeds of the evening will be donated to Soroptimist International of Rim of the World's Free Mammogram Program for uninsured women in our communities. In 2009, sixty-two women qualified for the program, co-sponsored by Mountains Community Hospital. The Soroptimists pay $100 per mammogram; the Hospital donates the remainder of the cost of each mammogram.

| Wooden Boat Show | | 26th Antique & Classic Wooden Boat Show June 5 - 6, 2010
One of Lake Arrowhead's premier events, the Antique and Classic Wooden Boat Show kicks off the summer season the first weekend in June.
Southern Californians have the opportunity to see some of the most rare and beautiful antique and classic wooden boats still in existence right here in our community. They are a thrill to see each and every year.
The Rim of the World Historical Society has stepped up to the plate to take the lead in putting on the show with the Antique and Classic Boat Society - Southern California Chapter. While the Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce is helping out this year, this is now an event put on by the Rim of the World Historical Society.
As an added enhancement to the weekend there will be many classic "woodie" cars displayed throughout Lake Arrowhead Village during the boat show. The show hours are 9am - 4pm Saturday and 9am - noon on Sunday. The price to view the boats on the docks is $5 per person.
The Lake Arrowhead Antique and Classic Wooden Boat Show is the premier wooden boat show in Southern California. This is the first event of the summer season at Lake Arrowhead and one of the biggest of the year. |
| Rim of the World Historical Society Museum | ROWHS MUSEUM 2010 SEASON OPENING
SATURDAY JUNE 5 & SUNDAY JUNE 6, 2010, 9 am - 4 pm
In a renovated fire house, the museum has emerged. After years of planning, The Rim of the World Historical Society is happy to announce the Museum 2010 Season Opening in conjunction with the Wooden Boat Show. A temporary exhibit of model wooden boats will be in place for the opening. Boat enthusiasts will also enjoy an outdoor array of wooden boats placed just for the week-end.
The gallery is filled with exhibits that will bring history alive and assist an understanding of how our history and culture have shaped who we are today. Exhibits interpret periods of mountain history, engaging visitors as they discover a rich past that includes exploration, roads, settlement, lumbering, movies and entertainment. The museum store stocks numerous local writers' books, photographs, and postcards. Visit the museum and find your own exciting adventure in the San Bernardino Mountains! Children are welcome.
Located at 27176 Peninsula Drive, Lake Arrowhead, the museum will be open Saturday and Sunday, 9 - 4. Additional hours will be posted. Join us for an exciting week-end!
